BURLINGTON, Vt.—Police say a Champlain College student has been critically injured after falling off a concrete wall in Montreal.

Authorities say Hartley Hartman and a friend had just attended a concert and were walking back to a hotel early Saturday morning when Hartman took a shortcut. WCAX-TV says the friend made it to the the hotel but the 20-year-old Hartman did not.

Police found Hartman with a broken back and other injuries. They think he was injured in a fall. Hartman was hospitalized Thursday in a coma.
