MONTPELIER, Vt.—Vermont state officials are planning a seminar aimed at helping business owners learn how to get federal contract work from the U.S. Department of Defense.

On Sept. 15, the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center -- which is part of the state Department of Economic, Housing and Community Development -- will hold the seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Fairfield Inn in White River Junction.

Cynthia Nevin, a representative of the Defense Logistics Agency, will explain how to do business with the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, one of three such installations in the nation.
