Tourism app shows winter activities

A Vermont woman has created a new iPhone app that lists a host of winter activities across the Green Mountain State. Clare Innes told WCAX-TV that she created the Vermont Winter Fun app for a San Francisco company that has scores of other travel-related apps for places around the world. The Vermont version lists activities that include downhill and cross-country skiing, winter festivals, dogsledding, ice fishing, kite-skiing, sleigh rides, or simply going for a walk in the woods. The app sells for $1.99.
