SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt.
Teachers in South Burlington could be headed for a strike following the School Board’s vote to impose working conditions. The vote Wednesday night prompted the South Burlington Educators’ Association to call a strike vote for March 2. The district’s 242 teachers have been working without a contract for about eight months, and negotiations have stalled over a provision allowing the board to impose working conditions and another having to do with salary schedules.
