New Springfield, Vt., court office to open

SPRINGFIELD, Vt.—A new court office is opening in Windsor County.
The Springfield office of the Vermont Superior Court Windsor unit will open on Tuesday.
It replaces the North Springfield Probate Courthouse, which closed on Dec. 6.
Officials say the new court office is closer to most southern Windsor County residents.
At first it will be open only one day a week.
The office is not just for probate business. Residents may file petitions and other documents in family, civil or probate matters being heard in the Windsor unit, or to pay certain fines.
