BURLINGTON, Vt.—A goal late in the third period was enough to lift St. Lawrence over Vermont in a non-league ice hockey game in Burlington.

Jacob Drewiske scored with just 3:57 remaining in regulation as St. Lawrence came back to beat the Catamounts 2-1.

Vermont (3-12-1, 1-9-1 Hockey East) hoped to hang on to a 1-0 lead after scoring early in the third period, but the Saints (7-10-0, 4-5-0 ECAC) answered with a game-tying goal five minutes later.

UVM takes to the ice next in an exhibition game against the Russian Red Stars on Dec. 27.
