GUILFORD, Vt.—Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of an antique traffic sign from a Guilford covered bridge that warned teamsters not to drive their horses across the bridge faster than a walk.
The theft from the Green River Covered Bridge in Guilford was reported on Saturday.
Police say the 2-foot by 3-foot sign with white letters on a dark background that said "Two dollar fine to drive on this bridge faster than a walk."
