SHELDON, Vt.—Police say icy roads are being blamed for a crash that killed a man in northern Vermont.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Department said the man's car slid off Route 105 in Sheldon at about 8 p.m. Sunday and hit several trees. The driver, whose name has not been released pending notification of family members, died at the scene.
Officials told WCAX-TV ( http://bit.ly/x2El2P) that alcohol also played a role in the crash.
