BENNINGTON, Vt.—A Vermont husband and wife are both facing charges they sent each other text messages in violation of abuse prevention orders.

Forty-year-old Randy Blair of Pownal pleaded not guilty Thursday to a felony charge of violating an abuse prevention order. He was ordered held pending a Friday bail hearing.

Blair's 40-year-old wife Patricia Blair, of Bennington, pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor count of violating an abuse prevention order. She was released on conditions.

Court documents say Randy Blair called police Tuesday to say his wife had been sending him hundreds of text messages.

The Bennington Banner ( http://bit.ly/IOmybn) reports Trooper Travis Hess said he spoke with both Blairs, looked at the text message records and charged them both.
