JAMAICA, Vt.—A 62-year-old woman has been killed in a head-on collision that also injured three other people.
State police say Sara A. Taft was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at about 3:45 p.m. Sunday. She was a passenger in a car driven by 66-year-old Harvey L. Taft of Jamaica. He was airlifted to Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon with serious injuries.
The other driver, 36-year-old Raschid N. Joyce, and his 3-year-old passenger, were treated at a hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police say Taft was driving southbound on Route 30 and Joyce was headed northbound. As their vehicles approached a slight curve in the road, Taft's car crossed into the northbound lane striking Joyce's truck.![]()
