Media pick Faneuil Hall as perfect Boston backdrop
Most major networks will use Faneuil Hall as the site for their live shots during the Democratic National Convention. What site would you choose to represent Boston?

Considering that half the town is in shambles from the big dig, their options are pretty limited. Faneuil is probably the most sanitary backdrop we've got right now.

In light of all the road closures, public transportation disruptions, random searches by MBTA goons and the high probability that Boston is going to lose money on this fiasco, I'd like them to use an entirely different city - as a backdrop and for the whole convention.

During the day I'd choose a site along the Charles and for night I'd choose the Zakim bridge, but only if they put back the blue lights.

Nothing beats Fox25 News and their newly rented studio diagonally across from the State House, very smart thinking. For on location reports, I'd choose the Esplanade or the Cambridge side with great view of Beacon Hill and downtown. There are also incredibly skyline views from Blue Hill Ave., Lars Anderson Park in Newton, and Robbins Farm Park in Arlington -- of from the B.U. Bridge if you're feeling adventurous. The newly demolished Central Artery has left perfect views of the waterfront and the financial district. And there are lots of picturesque streets, from the North End to Beacon Hill to the South End. Finally, two words that scream "Boston": Green Monster!

I'd pick Mitt Romney's office suite and have him work from home. That way he wouldn't be able to continue his campaign of Mormonizing the Commonwealth. At least for a little while.

Kenmore Square. There's no "real" Boston left in the downtown area.

The empty office buildings throughout Boston and Cambridge.

The BPL and Trinity Church, Fenway , the Ether Dome, Granery Burial Ground, The Old City Hall/Latin School courtyard (already has a Donkey), L Street Tavern, Bell in Hand or Green Dragon. Everything else has been done to death.
Brian, Brockton
The Mass State house that way they can see where all the Senators and Congressmans relatives work. Mass Pike/Big Dig - So the rest of the country can see how to REALLY piss away money!!!

I would suggest something along the Waterfront, but Faneuil Hall is a good choice.
