Media pick Faneuil Hall as perfect Boston backdrop

Most major networks will use Faneuil Hall as the site for their live shots during the Democratic National Convention. What site would you choose to represent Boston?

My house. This way I can ask John Kerry why he supported the miserable mistake that has turned into the Iraq war and occupation.

Andrew, Brookline

I would choose Copley Square.

Jerri, Flatpoint

I would use Harvard Square. You have great shots of the Harvard Buildings, lots of foot traffic, and the T station to use as a back drop. Also, its close to the river, for some scenic shots there. With university buildings and tons of students, Harvard Square is quintesentially Boston!

Emily, Cambridge

Why does it have to be just one site? There is so much in Boston that represents what the city is all about. The USS Constitution The Museum of Fine Arts Paul Revere's House The Swan Boats at the Public Garden The Leonard Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge

Josh, Boston

The beautiful Charles River, from any of many vantage points.

Jane, Springfield

I think the perfect Boston backdrop would be to show the completely gridlocked traffic which will paralyze our city. This would be the most honest depiction of Boston during this time. The networks won't have to vie for the best views, as the traffic jams will basically be everywhere.

jasper, cambridge

I think they should use the backdrop of the Cheers bar. Maybe get the old gang from Cheers to do a commercial. Norm!! how are you today Mr. Petersen? Its a dog eat dog world woody and i am wearing milkbone underwear.

Woody, Wosta

how about the Deer Island treatment plant - this whole media circus is crap anyway......

Ed , Gloucester

Media should spread out a little. Faneuil Hall, Boston Garden swan boats, Boston Harbor, the Charles River basin, Trinity Church/Copley Square. Boston has numerous interesting venues that need not focus solely on Faneuil Hall and are still well within reach of the DNC site. If the hope is to attract visitors, more of the City should be exposed in media backdrop shots.
