Media pick Faneuil Hall as perfect Boston backdrop

Most major networks will use Faneuil Hall as the site for their live shots during the Democratic National Convention. What site would you choose to represent Boston?

I wold use 500 Boylston Street.

Betty , Back Bay

They should use the inside of the North Station Terminal as the backdrop. That way everyone can see the stupidity of closing down a commuter line for a lousy socialist convention.

Hi, I would choose the Back Bay section. It has plenty of shopping opportunities, as well as historic architecture representative of Boston. Close by is the Boston Common, as well as many walkable areas of interest.

How about the gridlock, or the unfinished Big Dig. Maybe the strip searches on the T, or the Boston Police Union protesting.

Just before dusk/sunset, the Esplanade looking at the dome at MIT with a bunch of sailboats gliding along on the Charles in between.

Trinity church and the Hancock tower - a perfect blend of new and old.

Ugh, Fanueil Hall is a little predictable, no? Wouldn't it be cool to see the Today show broadcast from outfield at Fenway? Or on the esplanade, looking at the river, Cambridge and downtown Boston? How about Castle Island, one of the coolest places in Boston?

Jennifer, South Boston

The grounds of the Moakley Federal Courthouse in South Boston. Sweeping views of Boston's historic waterfront.

Stephen, Boston

Boston Public Gardens by the Swan Boats would be a very pretty spot!

Donna, Woburn
