Where should the F.A.O. Schwarz bear go?
The now-defunct F.A.O. Schwarz donated its hallmark statue, a three-ton bronze teddy bear, as a "gift to the children of Boston," and now the city is facing the daunting task of deciding where to put it. Some people say it should be shipped to the Rose Kennedy Greenway or a park built at the site of the old elevated Central Artery. Others think it works better at Boston Common, or the Public Garden, with Mrs. Mallard and her bronze ducklings. Where do you think it should go?

I think it should be put in the boston common somewhere or just left where it is. maybe move it to copley sqaure. the bear has been there for as long as i can remember. whatever store opens up there should keep it right there. It always draws tourists and is a nice landmark to look at as you drive down boylston and berklee streets. Love boston.com and come here more often than washingtonpost.com. can't wait to move back in a few years! poeple here don't know how to deal with 2 inches of snow. i hate it. thanks!

I think they should either place it in the lobby of one of the local Childrens Hospital 's or Shriners Burns Institute. If they can't fit it inside place it out front of the Main entrance.

Central Artery is a GREAT idea. I would love to be driving on the highway and see a HUGE bear. too funny

Since it has the initials of FAO on it we shouldn't take it at all. If we have to then perhaps near the children's museum.

Near the Swan Boats..

I think the bear should be placed somewhere in front of, or inside the Childrens Hospital in Boston, Ma. It would bring a great deal of joy and hope to many children and their families during an otherwise serious time in their lives. Thank You.
