Where should the F.A.O. Schwarz bear go?
The now-defunct F.A.O. Schwarz donated its hallmark statue, a three-ton bronze teddy bear, as a "gift to the children of Boston," and now the city is facing the daunting task of deciding where to put it. Some people say it should be shipped to the Rose Kennedy Greenway or a park built at the site of the old elevated Central Artery. Others think it works better at Boston Common, or the Public Garden, with Mrs. Mallard and her bronze ducklings. Where do you think it should go?
Read the story: A new home for the F.A.O. Schwarz bear is a subject of intense speculation

I like it where it is, but the ideas for the Children's Hospital are good too. I definitely wouldn't put it in the Public Garden. There is no connection between the bear and the Public Garden like the swan boats and Mrs. Mallard have.

Leave it right where it is!

I think it should be put where everyone can see it. In these trying times, where evil lurks everywhere and sin is so prevalent (we can't even keep our children safe anymore!) and people won't even support the president of the United States in the War on Terror, then I think that a symbol of love and happiness and TRUST like the teddy bear should go somewhere everyone who loves life AND freedom can see it and remember what the people of America are fighting for in IRAQ! It's not OIL, Jon from Cambridge, it's LOVE and FREEDOM. Are the people of Iraq more free now? YES!!! Why don't you ask the ones that Saddam killed with WMD? Because they're dead, and will never speak again. We must speak for them, and say: Hey, we LOVE FREEDOM and thank you President Bush and the Troops! So I think we should maybe put the teddy bear in Boston Common as a memory of our troops, because I would like to hug them all, like a teddy bear. SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!

Why not in the middle or Central Park, or if possible, on the site of Children's Hospital where it can be seen by the children confined inside.

I understand the City of Boston has a budget deficit. Can I offer $20,000 for the bear? I'd love to put it in my Neverland Ranch, right next to Elephant Man's bones and my cryogenic chamber. Thank you.

At the childrens hospital...i was there for a month when i was a kid and it was such a welcoming place. I think this would only make it better especialy right at the entrance.
Dan
Place it in the Boston Commons by the Children's Playground. Children will enjoy it as they play (not sure if it would be safe to play on?) Would be a great photo op. for tourists.
