Where should the F.A.O. Schwarz bear go?

The now-defunct F.A.O. Schwarz donated its hallmark statue, a three-ton bronze teddy bear, as a "gift to the children of Boston," and now the city is facing the daunting task of deciding where to put it. Some people say it should be shipped to the Rose Kennedy Greenway or a park built at the site of the old elevated Central Artery. Others think it works better at Boston Common, or the Public Garden, with Mrs. Mallard and her bronze ducklings. Where do you think it should go?

How about in the Public Garden near the "Make Way For Duckings" statues?

Is there a better place to put the Bear than the Children's Museum?

Dan S.

An appropriate place would be in front of the holy cross cathedral, Washington Street. So that each time Mr O’Malley exits the church, it will remind him of the harm the church as done to the children

MAYBE SOMEWHERE INSIDE BOSTON CHILDRENS HOSPITAL...

I think that since the bear was donated to the children of boston...it would be best suited in front of the children's museum, (replacing the big milk carton). The other place that it wouldn't be to shabby at, is at one of the entrances of Boston. Since the bear is waving, it might be a nice welcome to boston gesture. I prefer the children's museum idea better. Thanks.

Perhaps somewhere near or around the Children's Museum. Also if each person who wants to save the bear donated $1. it could easily be moved and possibly maintained. Ask the people.

City Hall Plaza or the Boston Common. City Hall Plaza is such a barron wasteland and it could use a makeover. The Boston Common would be a good spot since it's a great place for the kids to play.
