He was a man who deserves respect. You know I came on this site to see how lond it would take for someone to take his passing and use it to bash the man. Not long I guess. SAD Rest in peace Mr. President

THANKYOU, I was only 9 years old when your terms ended, but definately remember your impact.

Brian, Waltham

President Regan always seemed like he had a plan and was a strong man. This I most admired about him. Say what you want about his politics. To me the true measure of a great leader is one who makes you feel like you are in good hands. He did make me feel that way. I found him funny, smart and a person I liked. How many other Presidents have we had since him you could say that about? God bless Him and my thoughts go out to his wife and family. He will be missed.

He was a geat President and a great man who will be missed.

I remember Reagan while growing up. When he was president, I was too young and naive to appreciate him. Now that I'm older, I now realize what a great president he was, and wish Bush I and II had followed his example.

I think he was one of the strongest presidents of the USA. I will miss him forever. God bless his family.

Ronald Wilson Reagan will always be remembered for his year as a Holywood actor and President of The Screen Actors Guild. I will remember him most for bringing dignity and style back to the Presidency. I will remember him for making the build up of our U.S. military strong and effective and respected throughout the world again. I will remember him for standing up to the Soviet Union and other nations vividly making our position clear and ready to take appropriate actions to back up our words. I will remember him for all the positive things during his Presidentcy. He will always remain one of our best respected Presidents in modern times. There will never be anyone like him, Good Bye to The Great Communicator!!

Ronald Reagan = America's Grandfather

Jeff, Quincy, MA

Ronald Regan was the greatest of the modern era of our Presidents, perhaps more so than even Roosevelt -history will decide that. He had the courage of his convictions and an ability to communicate that confounded his rivals and thrilled his supporters. There are millions of people in Eastern Europe that are free today because of Ronald Regan. He had the wisdom and courage to decide that defeating communism was better than living in the fear of "peaceful coexistence" and "mutual assured destruction". Today we have the same divide in our country. Between those that favor the passive approach to defending freedom and those, like President Bush, that have the courage to actively defend our country and our way of life against those that would surely kill us all if they had the means. I hope that our country has the courage to vote President Bush to a second term. Perhaps the courage he has in his convictions will someday allow him to communicate. If President Bush is successful, he will be the target of the same pointy headed intellectuals and layabouts that have spewed their hatred for Ronald Regan on this message board. Like Regan does today, I am sure Pres. Bush will wear them as a badge of honor for being right.

A great man...
