my commute was fine. i came from rt3 going north, it was a little slow at the split but traffic flow was fine. it took me 1 hour to get to boston, on a normal day it can take 1 to 1.5 hours. I did however leave 1 hours earlier today

Jeffery, Marshfield

Drove in from Charlestown to S. Station with no problem. Feel the pain of out of towners trying to get in the city but the DNC has made my commute easier!

Jennifer , Charlestown

rt 93 to Commerce Way was like a Sunday at 8:00 a.m. this morning. Hope everyone that stayed away today stays home the rest of the week!

becky, wilmington

Today's AM commute was a breeze, probably lighter than normal. Very similar to a vacation week. Drove from Lexington to Lynn in less time than normal. We'll see how this afternoon's homebound commute goes...

Henry, Lexington

My commute from Hudson, NH to Waltham, MA at 8:30 am was the easiest it's ever been on a Monday!

Lydia, Hudson, NH

MBTA parking lot fuller than usual for time of day but blue and green line trains had much fewer riders than usual, with no delays.

Yvonne, Revere

I left home a bit early to catch the Red Line into Boston, fully prepared to have to implement my contingency plan if the parking garage at Quincy Adams was full. I left home at 7:50 AM. Encountering no traffic backups at the Braintree Washington St. on-ramp to I-93 N/S, I breezed into the garage to find ample parking at 8:00 AM. What a pleasure. Thanks to all the dire warnings, the commute was easier than a normal day. Bravo to the T too. As promised, trains were more frequent. I just missed one inbound train, but as soon as I went through the turnstiles another one arrived - better frequency than normal too, at that time of day.

Kate, Quincy, MA

No problems this morning, but I did leave much earlier than normal. Commute to Wellington was easy and there seemed to be minimal ridership on the T. True test will be the commute home.

Ted, Malden

Easy commute, no traffic, lots of parking and no one on the train.

Liz, Melrose

i've never been so happy to live in Newton and work in Central Square. Took the usual route out of Watertown Square down Nonantum, Changing to Soilders and getting off at Western Ave. Commute actually took me about 10 minutes less time today. It will be interesting to to see what happens this afternoon when all the roads start shutting down. Here's hoping for an easy afternoon ride home.

Timothy, Newton
