How was your commute this morning? What was different?

not a problem at all.

This morning's commute was really quick! I think there was enough planning on the part of the city and enough people took vacation this week that there shouldn't be any problems.
Jen, Dorchester
My ride was great this morning! I travelled up route 3 onto 128 to Norwood and had no delays, the traffic was very light. I am anticipating a tougher ride home as the traffic will be diverted onto 128.
Maureen, Abington
My commute into Boston was even better than a normal day. There was less traffic on 93 South despite the lane close and I did not hit any delays on the Orange Line. I figure there are so many people that took vacation this week that all of the rest of us that have to work have it easy!
Alison, Stoneham, MA
Traffic was much lighter on Route 3 from the south. The expressway was slow at points where there was "something to look at", such as police cars, the reconfigured HOV lane, where the HOV lane ended and there were traffic cones. It was faster at the end of the HOV lane as there was no merge with traffic into the regular lanes. Overall faster than normal, better than expected for today.
Robert, Yarmouthport
My morning commute was fine. I left Boston at about 8:30am. I took Tremont St, to Boylston St to Atlantic Ave. All normal traffic. I got onto 93 North at Atlantic Ave with no problems. Once on 93 North in the tunnel there seemed to be significantly less vehicles on the road than there usually are. Heading up 93 North I saw several state police vehicles patrolling 93 South. I saw none on 93 North.
Ryan, Boston, MA
Rt 1A and Tedd Williams Tunnel was a breeze. A lot of people took vacation this week.
Deborah, Peabody
My commute from Burlington to Cambridge was a breeze. A beautiful sunny morning, light traffic and no delays. Everyone keep doing what you are doing!
Ann , Burlington MA
I got nervous when I saw the 9 police cars on I-93 South at the cloverleaf. I had no idea they were going to randomly stop and search trucks (I guess that's the idea though, is not to tell anyone). Once they started talking about it on the traffic reports, I realized that it was a planned activity. All in all my ride was a breeze once I got past all the stopped trucks and flashing blue lights.

Incredibly easy! The Green Line was running with more efficiency than I think I've ever seen. The city was unusually peaceful and quiet this morning - I thoroughly enjoyed it!
