Monday morning commute
How was your commute this morning? What was different?

Surprisingly - the ride was smooth and easy for the morning commute. I was expecting road blocks and random checks from listening to all of the hoopala about the city shutting down for the week. We'll see what the evening commute brings. Go Kerry!

Left Andover at 6:15am, and still encountered traffic from Wilmington past the 128 interchange. Traffic seemed worsened where the State Police were situated, and at the frequent spots were they pulled trucks over. The ride took at least 20 minutes longer than usual at 6:15!!!

My ride was much better than expected. I took the T shuttle bus from North Shore Mall in Peabody to South Station. I thought it was supposed to go through the airport to the Ted Williams tunnel, but we took the Zakim bridge into the tunnel and straight to the Station. It took us about thirty minutes instead of the 70 that was predicted. I then walked to the Orange line at Downtown Crossing and came straight to the NU campus.

piece of cake at 7:30am this morning. Like a major holiday.

My commute was the same as always....about 25 minutes. It is the afternoon commut that might be a hassle.
Rastaman, Cambridge
The only problem I had with my commute was the increase in the number of democrats on the train. It is bad enough on a typical day, but having to deal with this many is tough.

My husband and I actually took the car into downtown Boston this morning. We left about 8:45 AM and it was smooth sailing all the way into Chinatown area. I got off there and my husband was hoping to get street parking along Devonshire St. I was at my desk at 9:15 AM. The ride was much better than usual. Hardly any traffic at all. Normally I take either the Orange Line or the Cummuter train into Boston but, today, driving by car was great. I guess people took the day or the week off! Wish it were like this all the time!

It was fine...The congestion was overrated just like the DNC itself..
Kerrie, Medford
Is the DNC going on?? Nothing from the norm.
