If you could address the delegates at the Democratic National Convention, what would you say?

Are we going to let the politics of flip and flops distort our views of distinguishing between right and wrong? Or, are we staying on the course that we have set out to accomplish?

Mark, Wilton

"Treat others the way you would like to be treated!" I work in a hotel in downtown Boston and I have to say that the delegates that are staying at our hotel have been aweful to work with. Honestly, they have to be the worst group that we've had in a very long time! Rowdy; Obnoxious; Racist (Don't believe everything that Jes Jackson say's, people.) I've been a lifelong Democrat ... and am now beginning to wonder why!

Please, please, please . . . deliver some make-no-mistake-about it messages that are concise, to the point, and differentiate John Kerry. Courage under fire? Hammer home the message that Kerry was earning three Purple Hearts while . . . where was George, anyway? Hammer home the message that middle class and blue collar voters who favor Bush are voting against their own economic interests. Hammer home the message that individuals have a choice when you consider republican-driven high drug costs, high gas prices, destruction of the environment, wars for profit, Halliburton style greed, fewer benefits for veterans, money for wars and weapons but not for schools, then, by all means vote for Bush-Cheney. And finally, if there is ever again a disputed election - DON'T SURRENDER! Clearly, the Republicans fight dirty and to the finish. Why don't the Democrats do the same? The Florida electoral system was and is rife with fraud . . . (ever notice which party ALWAYS wins the disputes) . . . why do you allow this to happen to you? No more lame words, empty rhetoric, wishy-washy messaging, and Kerry double-speak . . . take it to 'em . . . . this is no time to be 'nice.' JF

Why did they stop all traffic at the Allston/Brighton onramp (nearly causing a multicar accident) just so someone in a black SUV limo could be escorted to the airport on Tuesday around 15:00. I am assuming it was a VIP trying to catch a plane. One, could you paint a bigger bullseye around a target! It would seem better to have an important person blend into the surrounding rather than point them out to the world. Second, the needs of the many outway the needs of the few or one. If there was a multicar accident, it would be the blame of the DNC, city officials, and federal government.

If I was John Edwards I wouldn't run from who I really am to pander for votes. He should have been honest. He and Kerry will raise taxes on "the wealthy" who they see as anybody with a household income of over $75k. They will give up the hard core fight on terrorism and go back into a defensive mentality like France and Germany while we wait to be killed. They will work to take away our right to bare arms, they will allow the UN to make foreign policy for us, they will leave healthcare alone, (Edwards made $150 million dollars suing doctors), they will stop funding new weapons programs consistant with their voting records in the Senate. JUST BE HONEST.

What has John Kerry ever done???

Does the U S need four more years of the Bushmeister????

Ladies and Gentlemen, Thank you all for coming to this egregious waste of time and tax money. I suppose this statement is of no offense to you, considering most of you agree with legalizing Gay marriage and show little remorse for negatively affecting the Boston economy. None of you deserve to be where you are and none of you can fix this country.

Adam, North Andover

Why do you all speak like robots?

dewy, Cambridge

When running for the Democratic nomination John Kerry once said that John Edwards was not qualified for President and would be on the job training. My question is, what's changed? Why is he suddenly qualified for VP?
