Did Bush have any? That is all I can say

JJ, Nashua

Of course. It's much more important to have good judgement.

chp, northampton ma

It would be very difficult to do so. That's what we have in office right now, and look where it's getting us. My vote is with John Kerry.

Paul, Pelham, NY

No, not in 2004. Maybe in past years an inexperienced president was excuseable but this time we need someone to step right in and fix major foreign relations and militry problems. That is why John Kerry makes so much sense, and Howard Dean makes no sense at all. Dean will actually make Bush looks like a ctrong courageous leader, although Bush has totally messed up out foreign policy and led us into war recklessly il-prepared.

If the previous admin had a foreign affair policy, we wouldn't have had 911. Al Quaida was already a news item in the Democrats admin... so who do we blame. As usual.. it's easy to blame the present admin. I'm a "Undeclared" party voter.. It's whomever I believe would do the best job. It appears most Mass. folks have their own party in mind.

Commenting on John of Allston. I agree with you completely. The flag means different things to different people. I for one view the Confederate flag as just history... the past ... of plantations, slavery, class structure like everwhere else, horse farms.. blah.. blah. Just history. To band this flag as a symbol of the history of America and how our determination for change created a better United States would only wipe out what we don't want to hear. It's like the Japanese text books trying to hide the truth of WWII in Asia .. it's wrong! And Nancy of Chelmsford.... you bet there are red necks down there and everywhere. They are blinded by their own colors.... some more so then others. Southern b's... can't handle anyone outside of the block they live in...

Eric, Boston

Eric, It is easy to play the balme game, but the fact is 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. We should not talk about people who are republicans or Democrats but I think our curent admin is causing us a lot of problems abroad that will take us a long time to fix.

JJ, Nashua

What foreign policy experience did g w bush have? NONE!

barbara, mt shasta ca

Howard Dean's remarks about terrorism and the war in Iraq were right on the mark. Why waste hundreds of billions of dollars invading a totally contained dictatorship when they have no connection to the terrorists who have actually attacked the US? I haven't heard anything so clear from Kerry, only fishing for what he hopes we want him to say. Reason, values, independence from corporations, intelligence and the wisdom to listen to well-chosen advisors will make Dean an outstanding foreign policy leader.

Despite being a staunch democrat, I could never vote for a candidate without significant foreign policy experience to take on George Bush. I will choose someone who can staredown down and outwit Bush on question of security. Healthcare is key in the primary, but foreign policy and defense will be the issues of the general election.
