KENNEBUNK, Maine (AP) — The lawyer for a high school hockey coach who gave up his job because of the Zumba prostitution scandal in Maine says he’s ‘‘pretty disgusted with the whole judicial process right now.’’
Gary Prolman, who represents Don Hill, says his client’s name never should have been made public along with other accused johns because Hill was videotaped without his knowledge and therefore is a victim of invasion of privacy.
Prolman said it’s ‘‘revolting’’ that Hill felt compelled to give up the job he loved because of the unproven accusation that he engaged a prostitute.
Prolman says whatever happened between Hill and a dance instructor was legal activity by two consenting adults. He says his client is divorced and has been for some time.
He says he intends to clear Hill’s name during a jury trial but that the damage already has been done.
