A commuter rail train crashed into an escalator after it failed to come to a stop at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport early Monday morning, injuring 32 people on board, according to the Associated Press.

Chicago Fire Commissioner Jose Santiago says the train "climbed over the last stop, jumped up on the sidewalk and then went up the stairs and escalator."

An official told the Associated Press it is likely the train was traveling too fast.
