This year, Easter Sunday falls on the same date as the highest holiday for pot-smokers everywhere: April 20, better known as 4-20.

Easter is celebrated among Christians worldwide as the day Jesus was resurrected after his crucifixion. Though unclear about the origins of the holiday, 4-20 is celebrated through smoking marijuana in large gatherings.

The last time Easter fell on 4-20 was in 2003, and in the next 1,000 years Easter will fall on April 20 33 times, according to the Washington Post.

Many churches have caught on to the overlapping holiday and will use sermons that will address the coincidence, USA Today reported. Examples of sermon titles include “Medicated” and “Reverse 420: God Keeps Me High.” USA Today reported that one church in Highland Park, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, is handing out promotional material that includes a green cross associated with medical marijuana clinics to help bring folks in to their Easter celebration.

"I was sitting on a plane and I was looking at my calendar, and I realized that Easter fell on 4/20 and I thought, 'Man, half of my friends, they're going to be doing something else on 4/20. They're not going to want to come to church,'" said Pastor Justice Coleman, founder of Freedom Church in Highland Park.

However, if church is not on a pot-smoker’s Easter-meets-4-20 plans, perhaps a video tutorial by Seth Rogen on how to roll a joint in the shape of a cross, or putting together a munchies-approved Easter basket, will fulfill the day.
