An alleged high-priced prostitute has been arrested and charged with murdering a Google executive while aboard his luxury yacht in November.
Alix Tichelman, 26, is suspected of fleeing the scene after police say she injected Forrest Hayes, 51, with heroin and he overdosed, according to CBS San Francisco. Hayes, a married father of five children, was found dead aboard his docked yacht in Santa Cruz, California on Nov. 23.
Tichelman’s arrest came after Santa Cruz police uncovered text messages and email exchanges between her and Hayes. The two allegedly met through the website SeekingArrangement.com, which connects “sugar daddies and sugar babies seeking mutually beneficial relationships and arrangements,” according to the website.
A detective then posed as a prospective client and offered Tichelman more than $1,000 for sex at a luxury hotel. She was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, destruction of evidence, and possession of illegal drugs.
In a surveillance video taken aboard Hayes’ boat, a woman, allegedly Tichelman, is seen gathering up drug paraphenelia and her belongings while the victim experienced medical problems and then fell unconscious, Santa Cruz Deputy Chief Steven Clark told CBS:
She was so callous that she literally stepped over the victim’s body to retrieve her glass of wine and finish her glass of wine as the victim is laying there dying at her feet,” Clark said.
Hayes, originally from Michigan, spent his career working for tech giants, including Sun Microsystems, Apple, and Google, according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
“Forrest will be remembered above all as a loving husband and father,” read Hayes’ Sentinel obituary.
