It’s another day in the fast lane for upstate Maine, where State Police responded to a charmingly rustic car accident early Wednesday morning.
Authorities said a Jeep Cherokee accidentally collided with the back left wheel of an Amish horse and buggy while traveling east on Conant Road in Easton. The Cherokee then briefly skidded out until it came to rest in the center of the roadway.
The driver told police he did not see the carriage until he had traveled over a hill and it was too late to move out of the way.
Police said speed was not a factor.
Neither the driver nor the four buggy passengers were injured.
