Rick Perry, Bad Boy and Texas Governor, Takes a Mean Mug Shot

With graying side burns, a twinkle in his eye, and a wry smile painted across his face, Texas Governor Rick Perry’s mug shot is a sight to behold. Heck, it’s got everything you could ask for from a politician who was just indicted on abuse of power charges.

Texas Governor Rick Perry is pictured in this booking photo courtesy of Travis County Sheriff’s Office, released on August 19, 2014. Perry, a possible Republican presidential candidate in the 2016 race, was fingerprinted and had his mug shot taken by judicial authorities on Tuesday after being indicted last week on two felony charges of abusing power. The knot in his tie leaves a little to be desired, though for a man taking a booking photo, he’s dressed pretty well. A little make-up might have covered up some of those wrinkles, but you could also argue they make him look distinguished. There are a few stray strands of hair escaping his otherwise perfectly tailored hairdo, but let’s not nitpick.

None of those issues match the magnitude of the void that seems to be plaguing this photo! Come on, Governor Perry, tell us what it is!

Oh right, of course it was his hipster glasses! That’s much better, thank you.
