Fort Lee Army base in central Virginia issued an “all-clear” after it reported an active shooter incident and initiated a lockdown of its base Monday morning at about 9:30.
The incident was reported at CASCOM HQ, Building 5020, according to a tweet from Fort Lee.
“All that we know is that it’s at the [Combined Arms Support Command] headquarters,” a Fort Lee spokesperson Amy Perry told Business Insider. “The installation has been locked down. We’ve all been asked to stay inside our offices.”
By about 10 a.m., the all-clear message was given.
