For the record

Correction: Because of a reporting error, a column in yesterday's City & Region section by Eileen McNamara incorrectly attributed to Police Commissioner Kathleen M. O'Toole the quote that Deputy Superintendent Robert E. O'Toole Jr. ''did more good than harm" in his 37-year career. Robert O'Toole said that of himself. Commissioner O'Toole said Robert O'Toole's ''contributions to the Boston Police Department cannot be overstated."

Correction: Because of an editing error, a story on the risks of drug-coated stents in yesterday's Business section incorrectly stated that Boston Scientific Corp. did not return calls seeking comment. Comments from Boston Scientific spokesman Charles Rudnick were included in later versions of the Bloomberg News story that should have been included in the version published in the Globe. Rudnick said scientific studies and the use of more than a million of the company's drug-coated stents ''provide overwhelming evidence that drug-eluting stents are a safe and effective treatment. This revolutionary technology is a major breakthrough in the treatment of coronary artery disease."

Correction: Because of a reporting error, TV information for the Jose Luis Castillo-Diego Corrales fight was incorrect in the boxing notebook in yesterday's Sports section. The fight will be televised by Showtime.
