Correction: Because of a reporting error, the surname of Wayne Pacelle, president of the Humane Society of the United States, was misspelled in a story on the Nation pages yesterday about Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.
Clarification: The Go! column in yesterday's Living/Arts section said a local band, the Bags, was to perform on a bill with Gang of Four and Radio 4 at Avalon last night. The Bags were unable to appear because of a scheduling conflict, according to the band's website.
Correction: Because of incorrect information provided by Reuters news service, a photograph of Spanish Cardinal Julian Herranz was wrongly used for, and identified as, a photo of Cardinal Avery Dulles of Fordham University with a Page One story Sunday about Catholic Church rules on priest abuse.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, George Lucas's alma mater was incorrect in a profile of the film director in Sunday's Movies section. Lucas graduated from the University of Southern California.
Correction: Because of incorrect information from the state Department of Revenue, the Consumer Beat column in Sunday's Business & Money section misstated the tax rate for interest earned at Massachusetts banks. Although interest earned at Massachusetts banks used to be taxed at a lower rate than interest earned at out-of-state banks, since 1999 all bank interest is taxed at the same rate of 5.3 percent, although the first $100 of Massachusetts bank interest is exempt ($200 for married couples filing jointly).
Correction: Because of a graphics editor's error, a chart accompanying a May 8 story on federal judicial nominations was incorrectly labeled. The chart showed the average number of days to confirm District Court nominees and the percentage of District Court nominees confirmed by presidential administration. A corrected version of the chart appears today on page A8.
