For the record

Correction: Because of an editing error, the headline on a story in yesterday's City & Region section stated that Danvers may tax the Archdiocese of Boston for the former St. Alphonsus Church property. The town, in fact, has sent the archdiocese a tax bill for the property.

Correction: Because of a reporting error, the first name of singer Patty Loveless was misspelled in a review of Faith Hill's new CD in Tuesday's Living/Arts section.

Correction: Because of a reporting error, the surname of venture capitalist Chris Gabrieli was misspelled in Brian McGrory's column on Tuesday.

Correction: Because of a reporting and editing error, the Baseball Notes column in the July 24 Sports section incorrectly said A. J. Pierzynski admitted to receiving banned drugs from trainer Greg Anderson, and the column attributed the information to the San Francisco Chronicle. There has been no evidence or testimony connecting Pierzynski to any banned substances, and he was not named in the Chronicle reporting.
