Correction: Because of a reporting error, a story in yesterday's City & Region section about the collision of two commuter ferries in Boston Harbor misidentified the owner of the ferry Massachusetts. It is owned by Massachusetts Bay Lines Inc. The Massachusetts and the other ferry involved, the Laura, contract with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
Correction: Because of incorrect information provided to the Globe by WGBH, several ratings figures for "Masterpiece Theatre" programs last season were incorrect in a Page One story and graphic yesterday. "Bleak House" averaged 3.1 million viewers per episode, "Jane Eyre" averaged 5.1 million viewers per episode, and "Prime Suspect VII" averaged 4.8 million viewers per episode.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, a story in Tuesday's City & Region section about a double homicide in Dudley incorrectly reported that a neighborhood known for drug dealing, loud parties, and fighting is in Dudley. The neighborhood where that activity took place is in the town of Webster, about a mile from where the shootings occurred.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, Saturday's Sidekick section contained incorrect information about the automatic markdown plan at the Downtown Crossing
Correction: Because of a reporting error, a story in Saturday's Sports section about the popularity of lacrosse gave an incorrect date for the last NCAA Lacrosse Championship played in New England. The championships were last played in New England in 1985.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, a Page One story Friday about Northeastern University dismissing faculty without advanced degrees incorrectly reported Lincoln McKie Jr.'s job status. He is under contract as a lecturer in the School of Journalism until Dec. 31 and will then become editorial lab director at the school.
