Michigan governor released from hospital after surgery
LANSING, Mich.—Gov. Jennifer Granholm has been released from a hospital four days after emergency surgery for an intestinal obstruction.
Spokeswoman Liz Boyd told The Detroit News for a story published online Saturday that the governor is recuperating and glad to be home.
Boyd says staffers are prepared for the 49-year-old governor to be out of the office for a couple of weeks.
The intestinal obstruction that forced the surgery was a complication of internal injuries from a 1993 auto accident.![]()
