BOSTON—Attorney General Martha Coakley, one of two superdelegates recently elected by the Massachusetts Democratic Party, says she's supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton for president.

Coakley said that regardless of outcome of the Democratic primary, Clinton's energy, stamina, and resolve have changed the course of history for women seeking political office, including the presidency.

Coakley also said she would support whoever is the nominee for the party.

The Massachusetts Democratic Party elected the two superdelegates on May 10, including Arthur Powell, who is also supporting Clinton.

Clinton won 56 percent of the vote to Obama's 41 percent during the Feb. 5 Massachusetts primary.
