Teams check dams after storm deluge
LAKE DELTON - Engineers and National Guard teams examined dams across this storm-deluged state yesterday looking for signs of damage from high water that led to the major collapse that nearly emptied Lake Delton. The weekend's storm displaced thousands and was blamed for 15 deaths in the Midwest and elsewhere. 7 at graduations charged in yelling
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Authorities say seven people attending high school graduations in Rock Hill are facing charges after police say they cheered while students' names were being called. Authorities say six at Fort Mill High's graduation were charged Saturday and a seventh at the graduation for York Comprehensive High School was charged Friday with disorderly conduct. Report: Costs soar for treating cancer
The cost of treating cancer has soared in the United States as more chemotherapy and radiation treatments become available to more patients, researchers reported yesterday.
