Correction: Because of a reporting error, a story on the front of Monday's City & Region section about the future of a University of Massachusetts marine station in Gloucester incorrectly described the view from the site. It looks out over Ipswich Bay.

Correction: Because of an editing error, one reference in a news brief in some editions of yesterday's City & Region section misidentified the president of a swimming pool company charged with manslaughter in the accidental drowning death of a child. David Lionetti, president of Shoreline Pools, was arrested.

Clarification: An Associated Press story in yesterday's City & Region section on a gain in ridership for Amtrak's Downeaster train service cited a proposal to expand Amtrak's line northward to Brunswick, Maine, using the former St. Lawrence and Atlantic line. The story should have noted that there are two proposals for expanding Amtrak service. The short-term plan would use the existing Pan Am Railways line. The Maine Department of Transportation also is studying a long-term proposal that would follow the former St. Lawrence and Atlantic line from Portland to Yarmouth, where it would connect with the Pan Am Railways line to Brunswick.
