Correction: Because of an editing error, the winner of the New England PGA Match Play Championship was incorrect in the Sports Log in yesterday's Sports section. Brian Spitz defeated Marc Spencer to win the championship.

Correction: Because of a reporter's error, a touchdown was credited to the wrong player in a story on the Boston College High School-Andover football game in the Sept. 20 sports section. John Jakobowski caught a 14-yard touchdown pass in BC High's victory.

Correction: Because of a reporter's error, two touchdowns by Xaverian were credited to the wrong player in the high school football roundup in the Sept. 20 Sports section. Tony Knight scored two touchdowns in Xaverian's victory over Waltham.
