On the stump:
  • John McCain in Wallingford, Pa.: "I've been in a lot of campaigns. I know the momentum is there. . . . The Mac is back."

  • Barack Obama in Columbus, Ohio: "Don't believe for a second this election is over. Don't think for a minute that power concedes without a fight."

    On the air:
  • McCain: No new national ad.

  • Obama: "Delighted," 30 seconds.

Script: "Barack Obama, endorsed by Warren Buffett and Colin Powell," the announcer says. "And John McCain's latest endorsement?"

The ad cuts to footage of Dick Cheney on Saturday in Wyoming declaring, "I'm delighted to support John McCain and . . . I'm pleased that he's chosen a running mate with executive talent, toughness, and common sense, our next vice president Sarah Palin."

"And boy did McCain earn it," the announcer says. "He voted with Bush and Cheney 90 percent of the time."

"I'm delighted to support John McCain," Cheney is shown saying.

The announcer concludes, "And that's not the change we need."

    On tap today:
  • McCain: Rallies in Tampa, Blountville, Tenn., Moon Township, Pa., Indianapolis, Roswell, N.M., Henderson, Nev., Prescott, Ariz. Also appears on "Monday Night Football."

  • Obama: Rallies in Jacksonville, Fla., Charlotte, N.C., and Manassas, Va. Also appears on "Monday Night Football."
