Correction: Because of a reporting error, the number of African-American managers in Major League Baseball was incorrect in Red Sox Notebook in yesterday's Sports section. There are five: Ron Washington (Texas), Jerry Manuel (New York Mets), Cecil Cooper (Houston), Dusty Baker (Cincinnati), and Cito Gaston (Blue Jays).
Correction: Because of a reporting error, a review of the book "Fine Just the Way It Is" in Monday's g section incorrectly identified author Annie Proulx's birthplace. She is from Connecticut.
Correction: Because of an editing error, an image of a bay scallop was incorrectly used with a story in Thursday's Metro section about a survey showing the number of young sea scallops has spiked in the Georges Bank and mid-Atlantic areas.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, the college Luol Deng attended was incorrect in the Basketball Notes in Sunday's Sports section. Deng attended Duke.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, a story in the Business section on Nov. 8 about President-elect Barack Obama's tax proposals incorrectly stated the current maximum earned income tax credit for a household with two children. The maximum is $4,824.
