GLENWOOD, Ill. - Authorities are investigating a second suburban Chicago cemetery after a human bone was found on the ground.

Steve Patterson, Cook County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said the bone was found Friday at Mount Glenwood Memory Gardens South Cemetery in Glenwood. No charges have been filed, and cemetery owner Jeannie Walsh denies any wrongdoing.

A family already had filed suit against the historic black cemetery, accusing Mount Glenwood of trying to resell a plot where two relatives are buried.

The investigation into Mount Glenwood is occurring after workers at another historic black cemetery south of Chicago were charged for allegedly doublestacking bodies to resell plots.
