FARMVILLE - A 20-year-old man suspected of killing four people in a central Virginia college town was arrested at an airport yesterday, where he apparently tried to catch a flight to California, authorities said. Richard Alden Samuel McCroskey III was arrested by Richmond International Airport police officers who found him asleep in the baggage claim area, said airport spokesman Troy Bell. Farmville police found the bodies Friday afternoon in the home of Debra Kelley, an associate professor of sociology and criminal justice studies at Longwood University.NEW JERSEY
Police say father gave boy, 4, drugs
NEWARK - New Jersey police say a 4-year-old boy shared cocaine with his friends at day care because his father told him it was candy. Newark police say 25-year-old Shaheed Wright of East Orange put several baggies of cocaine inside his son’s jacket. The boy shared the drugs with three other 4-year-olds at his day care center Friday. A teacher spotted a girl with a baggie in her mouth and called authorities after seeing the white powdery substance. The children were taken to a hospital, but none was injured. Wright was charged with four counts of child endangerment and drug offenses.WISCONSIN
Capone hideout on auction block
WAUSAU - The buyer of a scenic property in northern Wisconsin will get more than just its bar and restaurant: They’ll have a former hideout of Chicago mobster Al Capone.
