Correction: Because of an editing error, a photograph of the wrong person ran with the obituary of Shoichi Nakagawa, Japan’s former finance minister, on yesterday’s obituary page.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, A Reading Life, a column in the Sunday Books section, gave the incorrect title for a Library of America volume of Thornton Wilder’s works. The correct title is “The Bridge of San Luis Rey and Other Novels 1926-1948.’’
