SANTA ANA, Calif.—Authorities have identified the man who they say went from big winnings at a Southern California casino to death at the hands of robbers.

Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna (Bur-TAHN'-yah) said Saturday there are no suspects and no arrests in the death of 55-year-old Chi Ngoc Bui (CHEE-NOK-BOO-ee) of Westminster, who was run down by robbers in Santa Ana just after winning several thousand dollars at Hawaiian Gardens Casino.

Bui was driving a woman home when the robbers cut them off, tried to wrestle away an envelope of money, then ran Bui down as they fled.

A knife and $20 bills were scattered near the body. Bertagna says it was not clear exactly how much money Bui had or what the robbers got.

The woman was not hurt.
