■ Clarification: A story in Saturday’s Metro section said it appeared that Sean Bielat was the first candidate for federal office from Massachusetts to pay himself a salary from campaign contributions since a change in federal regulation made that permissible. At least one other candidate, Mac D’Alessandro, paid himself more than $25,000 in stipends during his 2010 primary run against Representative Stephen Lynch.
