Opie and Anthony
In August 2002, Gregg "Opie" Hughes, left, and Anthony Cumia had their radio show canceled after a Virginia couple had sex in a vestibule at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York as part of a sex-in-public-places contest sponsored by the show and by Boston Beer Co., the makers of Sam Adams. Hughes and Cumia had been fired in 1998 by Boston radio station WAAF after airing an April Fools ''prank'' saying that Mayor Thomas M. Menino had been killed in a car accident while vacationing solo in Florida. The two are now broadcasting on XM Satellite Radio and were back on Boston airwaves until late 2008 on WBCN.
