Voters around the US went to the polls today to cast ballots for municipal and statewide elections. Virginians voted to elect their next governor and New Yorkers voted on a vacant congressional seat and for mayor. Meanwhile, in Maine, residents voted to either approve or reject a law allowing same-sex marriage.
