Virginia Tech students, staff, families and other supporters gathered at a memorial on campus for a moment of silence to commemorate the people killed in Monday's school shooting.

Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine asked fellow governors in all states to join in a day of mourning because "this tragedy impacts not just Virginia."
