Ann Baranski (L) waited in the stairwell for her first glimpse of the crown of the Statue of Liberty on Saturday July 4, 2009. The crown of the famous statue, which was closed to the public after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, was opened again on the nation's Independence Day for a limited number of visitors each day. The base, pedestal and outdoor observation deck were reopened in 2004, but the crown remained off-limits.
