I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby
Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, resigned after he was indicted and convicted of perjury, obstruction of justice, and lying to investigators probing the disclosure of former CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson's identity. Though Libby was sentenced to 30 months in prison, President Bush decided to commute his prison term, preventing him from serving any time. The conviction, however, will remain on Libby's record and he must pay a $250,000 fine.
